Where are you located?
Our yard and office is based in Mocksville, NC. We are centrally located with easy access to Interstate 40, Interstate 77, and Interstate 85. Click here for directions.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to all of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Southern Virginia, but are hoping to continue to expand into the Southeastern US.
Where does your hay come from?
Our hay is sourced from a network of farms scattered across the east coast and midwest including New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina. Because the weather is so unpredictable and it directly affects hay quality we are constantly on the search for the best quality hay that we can provide at the least cost to our customers. We assure you we stand behind our quality 100%.
How much hay comes on a truck?
Depending on the accessibility of your farm we can haul as many as 300 bales on one trailer. We have six trucks and six trailers of various sizes to meet all of our customers' needs.
How is your hay sold, by the ton or bale?
Typically we sell our hay by the bale but will be happy to give you a ton price quote. We take bale weight into consideration when pricing our hay to ensure the best value for your money.
Will you hold my hay for me until I need it?
We do our best to meet the needs of our customers who are unable to store all the hay they need at one time. While we are usually able to keep one load of hay in stock for some period of time, we can only hold hay for a customer for a max of 30 days with a 50% down payment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cana Land & Farm Company accepts, cash, check, and all major credit cards. All hay is C.O.D.
Is your hay tested?
Most of the hay we sell has been tested and analyses are available to customers. If you would like the specific results for hay in which you are interested, please contact us.
Can I buy my hay and have you store it until I need it?
Unfortunately we do not have enough space available to serve as a hay storage facility. All hay purchased must be picked up or delivered within 30 days of purchase.
Can I buy other types of hay than what you have listed?
We have an extensive network of hay suppliers and we are happy to find whatever hay suits the needs of our customers. Please contact us if you are seeking a type of hay other than what we have in stock.
Do you guarantee the quality of your hay?
All hay sold by Cana Land & farm is guaranteed to be what it was represented as. We usually encourage new customers to visit our facility and look at our hay first hand in order to make sure it’s a good fit for your horse(s). We happily send sample flakes to those customers not able to come see our hay.
How much notice do you need for a delivery?
We prefer at least a week notice. While we are very flexible in our schedule, we do need to make sure the weather will cooperate with our delivery.
Do you deliver weekends?
We can deliver on Saturdays as needed. We do not deliver on Sundays and certain holidays.
What are your office hours and location?
Our office is staffed from 8am-12pm Monday through Friday, Saturday from 9am-12pm, and closed Sunday. We are located at 158 McCashin Lane Mocksville, NC 27028. Our fax number is 336-998-9218. You may call 336-998-0239 with questions or to place orders.
Can you unload and stack the hay for us?
All of our delivery prices include unloading and stacking unless otherwise notified by customer.
Do you ever run out of hay?
No, in our time in business we have never run out of hay. At times we may not have a specific variety in stock but we do our best to offer our customers the best variety of quality hay year round.
Are your trailers covered in case of rain during transport?
Unfortunately, no. We do not haul any hay if there is any serious chance of rain or indications of rain in the path of our delivery.
